The Humboldt Classic 2009 Slackline Competition: October 3, 2009
Download
Highlights from the 2nd annual Humboldt Classic Slackline Competition hosted in Arcata, CA at Far North Climbing gym. For the second year in a row we were able to put on a great competition with nothing but donated goods from local business and slackline/climbing companies. Community support is key in slacklining, and we hoped to have further expanded such support!

The highline potential was first discovered in the fall of 2006. Since then, our eyes remained fixed on Promontory rock and it was only a matter of time before we could accumulate enough money and free time to venture out onto this beautiful line. Standing at roughly 40ft high and 60 ft long, Lord of the Flies offers a prime highline experience directly on the North Coast.

About Time: October 12, 2007

After many days of slacking, we finally got our acts together to sort through and string together a load of spring/summer footage that we had stacked up. We started to experiment more aggressively with stunts that combined many different aspects of slackline. We were finally receiving funding for our efforts and began to have the ability set multiple lines with the money and gear we received.
Strange Addiction: January 11, 2007
Shaun solo sessioning in Sacramento and Arcata, CA. Filmed out of pure boredom during winter break, this session takes it on back to when ollies, lemur leaps, and spread eagles were "hard" tricks.
A New Day: December 12, 2006
The first ever slackline footage produced by Shaun Cordes and Andy Lewis. Filmed over several weeks in Arcata, CA, this short clip has inspired many and has greatly helped the boom of internet slackline footage.

Cata-what?! Catalystic Productions.
Catalyst - a substance that speeds up a reaction without being consumed.
Catalystic Productions - a dynamic duo of slackline enthusiasts who's soul purpose is to provide you --the viewers-- with increasingly epic footage, knowledge, and accurate coverage of current events relating to the evolution of slackline.
We feel as if it is our job to sacrifice our money, time, and physical well being to push the borderlines of slackline. We hope that our efforts will be complimented by your efforts --as viewers-- to tell everyone you know about us and ask them to please watch our films. We are currently lucky enough to be supported by our many viewers and do our best to answer questions and provide support to the slackline community. Rule #1 is always making sure you are being safe! This includes the safety of the people around you, and the protection of the environment in which you are choosing to engage your slacktivities! We must remember that we are all a part of the slackline movement, and that the image of slackline rests in each and every one of our hands. Don't give anyone a reason to say "no slacker's allowed."
Kind regards,
Shaun Cordes
