for download, the "Slacklife"
theme song from our latest production, and "Slack
On" from About
Time. Written and produced by Andy Lewis himself, these songs take
you into the thoughts and ideas of slackline evolution through the day
to day life of Catalystic Productions. Sorry for the delay in posting
these, we've received a lot of emails asking for copies of both songs.
Your voices have been heard, thank you for your interest!
After months of filming, Catalystic Productions is back
with an extremely badass collection of slackline footage! Join us as we
take you on a tour of our slacklives over the past 6 months. We promise
that this footage will fully bring you up to date with what we've been
working on and hopefully it will inspire you to slackon! From the redwood
curtain to Joshua Tree we strived to capture the essence of where we want
to push the sport of slackline. Hope you enjoy our newest film!
After many days of slacking, we finally got our acts
together to sort through and string together a load of spring/summer footage
that we had stacked up. We started to experiment more aggressively with
stunts that combined many different aspects of slackline. We were finally
receiving funding for our efforts and began to have the ability set multiple
lines with the money and gear we received.
Shaun solo sessioning in Sacramento and Arcata, CA. Filmed
out of pure boredom during winter break, this session takes it on back
to when ollies, lemur leaps, and spread eagles were "hard" tricks.
The first ever slackline footage produced by Shaun Cordes
and Andy Lewis. Filmed over several weeks in Arcata, CA, this short clip
has inspired many and has greatly helped the boom of internet slackline
footage.
Andy stumbled by this swing set one day and had
the strong urge to jump off the swing onto the slackline. Then he
got the idea of doing a swing back flip onto the slackline. This
is the video collaboration of his success and multiple failures
in trying to land the swinging back flip mount.
540
All the footage in this clip is from one day's
slack session when Andy was determined to conquer the 540. It ended
up taking him over an hour to stick, but he stuck it in the end!
Muscle Beach 360
Shaun sticking his first filmed 360 at muscle beach.
Japan
Through a long and disconcerting series of suspicious
emails Andy was finally convinced that he was going to be flown
to Tokyo, Japan to be on a game show. This entire clip is in Japanese,
but the footage is still very entertaining. Japan has never been
the same since...
Highline Back Flip
Determined to land a highline backflip (a stunt
previously conceived as impossible) was the only goal on this sunny
Saturday morning. Huge whipers and a steel anchor ring to the face
later, Shaun captured the worlds first ever highline back flip.
Catalystic Productions is currently a dynamic duo of
slackline enthusiasts. Our purpose is to provide you-- the viewers-- with
increasingly epic footage, knowledge, and accurate coverage of current
events relating to the evolution of slackline. We feel as if it is our
job to sacrifice our money, time, and physical well being to push the
borderlines of slackline. We hope that our efforts will be complimented
by your efforts-- as viewers-- to tell everyone you know about us and
ask them to please watch our films. We are currently lucky enough to be
supported by our many viewers and do our best to answer questions and
provide support to the slackline community. Rule #1 is always making sure
you are being safe! This includes the safety of the people around you,
and the protection of the environment in which you are choosing to engage
your slacktivities! We must remember that we are all a part of the slackline
movement, and that the image of slackline rests in each and every one
of our hands. Don't give anyone a reason to say "no slacker's allowed."
If you feel the urge to kick down and have us as guests
(TV show, social events, entertainment, etc.), make a donation, or have
an interest in being gracious enough to sponsor us with your gear or funding;
feel free to contact us at any time via email at CatalysticProductions@gmail.com.
We respond hastily, work professionally and hope to hear from you soon!
Just remember that your donations go straight to the development of the
sport of slackline!
